Often the process starts when the member has selected a new church and has talked with the Clerk at the new church. The Clerk can click on \u201c<strong>Members \u2013 To receive<\/strong>\u201d and search by the original Church and\/or Name. By typing in the Name of the member and clicking \u201c<strong>Search Member\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;the system can find the member in any church using ACMS.<\/p>\n<p>Clicking on the box to the left of the correct member, and clicking \u201cAdd\u201d starts the Member transfer process by sending a request for membership. This process works great for churches that use ACMS. For those that don\u2019t use the ACMS software, please consult \u201cAppendix A \u2013 Processing transfers from Churches not using ACMS.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Sending Church gets a notification of the Transfer Request. They will need to approve the sending of this member.&nbsp; They can do this by logging into ACMS and going to the Member, Transfer, and going to the&nbsp;<strong>Members \u2013 To Send<\/strong>&nbsp;section. All of the members that have been requested are listed there. Simply click on the&nbsp;<strong>Approve&nbsp;<\/strong>checkbox button.<\/p>\n<p>The receiving church must vote the new member into church fellowship. Upon looking at the \u201c<strong>Members \u2013 To Receive<\/strong>\u201d section, they will notice the status of \u201cSent\u201d.
